Help us do our bit for the environment! We won’t be handing out any giveaways at this event; instead, we will be donating the money that we would have spent, to charity. Come along to our booth to help us decide which charities receive the donation.
On the agenda
We are pleased to have the Council of Europe and NetDocuments are joining us as our guests this year, and a representative from each of these organisations will be presenting during the event.
Alvin Tedjamulia the CTO of NetDocuments will present ‘Tomorrow comes today’ on the 4th December at 11am. He will discuss how as the rate of technology change and innovation continues to accelerate, the legal industry needs agile solutions that can keep pace with evolving business imperatives and address the security threats associated with digital transformation.
He will delve into how technology can provide firms and corporate legal departments with the governance, security and productivity solutions required to move their operations into the future and in particular:
- The productivity and collaboration tools available to help firms organise, review, create, share and manage documents and emails on one secure platform
- The cyber security threats of the present and the infrastructure, compliance standards and governance measures, that should be in place to ensure sensitive data and information is always backed up and secure
- How firms are leveraging their technology to see high adoption rates when implementing new business processes
Colin McArdle from Tikit and John Hunter, CIO at the Council of Europe will be discuss ‘The challenges of choosing a cloud-based document management system on the 4th December at 4.45pm. During this session John and Colin will deliberate how organisations are faced with increasing challenges around the growing volumes of data that they have to store and the necessity to ensure governance, compliance and security. In addition, professionals increasingly need the freedom to work remotely and to be mobile.
A document management system (DMS) can help to tick some of these boxes, as well as enhancing functionality and security over legacy file-based on-premise systems – the benefits are attractive. However, how in practice, should organisations and legal teams choose a suitable system?
Join us for a few drinks and networking with your peers on 3rd December, 6pm – 9pm.
