Confessions of a Placement Student: October
This month we had the pleasure of welcoming Rubie to the P4W Applications support team – it’s great to have another girl in the office! She joins the team as our final placement student for the year and has settled in well. In fact, she is already resolving your P4W issues.
Reuben, our Specialist Support Manager, jetted off to Utah this month to attend NetDocuments’ annual Partner Summit. During his time there he got to meet the NetDocuments team and learn about future updates. It wasn’t all work and no play though! Reuben also found time for some mountain activities including an alpine slide and a mountain coaster.
Some exciting news – we’ve been shortlisted as finalists for the “Supplier of the Year (SME and mid-market)” award at the 2017 British Legal Technology awards. The award celebrates a supplier who in the last year has made the most innovative contribution to the future of legal IT for SME and mid-market law firms – recognising an outstanding team performance. We’re really looking forward to hearing the results next month!
Feature of the month: Hayley’s Oman Trek for Coppafeel
Next month, Hayley from our P4W Accounts support team heads off to take part in Coppafeel’s Oman Trek. She joins a group of 56 brave souls who have accepted the challenge of hiking through wadi’s, canyons and along dramatic coastline before camping in the desert. Each day they will spend 8 hours trekking and completing gruelling tasks as they compete as part of two teams led by 2 celebrities. Hayley joins the team led by blogger & author Giovanna Fletcher as they compete against a team led by her brother and The Only Way Is Essex star Mario Falcone.
Hayley has been training and fundraising for the trek since May. When she started her first goal was to have 10 people sponsor her, letting the 10th sponsor choose her hair colour for the trek. Our very own P4W Product Manager Alex was that lucky person – I hear his current colour choices are apple green and pink! Since then, Hayley has fundraised in so many ways; holding stalls at local fetes, having a bake sale in the office, even holding her own virtual 7.5K run!
Hayley has already raised over £2,000 to help Coppafeel educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. You can help her reach her target of £2,775 by donating here. All of us at Tikit are very proud of what she has achieved so far and wish her the very best of luck!
