Confessions of a Placement Student: April
I managed to get some time away from the office earlier this month, taking a trip to Barcelona for 5 days. It’s fair to say that survival on a diet of paella and sangria was inevitable. The weather was gorgeous! The landscape, architecture and people are all captivating – but the views from the top of La Sagrada Familia were especially beautiful. It seems that our marketing team has been busy – I spotted a local bar/restaurant ‘advertising’ our market leading Time Recording software, Carpe Diem, on the seafront!
Earlier this month, the Service Desk Institute published an article on their website that Becky has written. Her piece was inspired by International Woman’s Day and it reflected on how the number of women in Support has grown since she started 17 years ago. Although the technology industry is still predominantly male, there are many more women working within it than there was nearly 20 years ago. I’m very proud to be at Tikit in a time where 2/3 of the Support managers are women. Women who are employed on their skills and expertise rather than just to tick a gender equality box. If you fancy a read of Becky’s article you can find it here.
Last week we travelled up to our new London head office for Tikit’s annual Company Briefing. It was great to see our colleagues from London and across the globe. There was plenty to talk about and celebrate, with lots of exciting plans for the future. We even managed to eat our way through 32 pizzas from Dominos!
Feature of the month: P4W RUG season is upon us
Our first P4W Regional User Group (RUG) event of the year takes place in Manchester next month. With one in Scotland at the end of May and another sold out event in London in June. These events are a brilliant opportunity for P4W users to learn about new functionality and features available within the current version as well as a sneaky peak to what’s planned for the future.
Our User Groups are run independently and are chaired by enthusiastic P4W users who are passionate about getting the best out of the software. It’s an excellent way to meet and network with other legal practices and share knowledge on the product.
There are only a few places left at the Manchester and Scotland events, so don’t miss out. Book your place soon as London has already sold out.
For more information and details of the agendas click Manchester or Scotland. If you’ve missed out on a place at our London event don’t forget our National User Group Conference is held in London This year’s event is on the 15th & 16th November and we’re already taking reservations. Details to follow nearer the time but if you would like to reserve a place, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
