Project Consultant

The two key purposes of the role are: (i) to deliver training services to the Tikit customers and within the organisation as well as writing training materials and/or e-learning packages; (ii) responsible for managing small-medium sized customer and internal projects ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered at all times.

Project Management

(a)          Produce project plans for new projects and book the appropriate consultancy in the PMO Resource Scheduling system

(b)          Responsible for managing small-medium sized projects: produce project plans, communicate with the customer to advise of progress, manage risk and issue resolution activities and ensure delegation of tasks to consultants

·        Ensure projects are delivered according to the Tikit PMO Methodology and to the agreed performance criteria (and within tolerance), whilst controlling changes in scope in a profitable manner

·        Lead the Project Team (stakeholders include: internal, 3rd party suppliers and clients)

·        Establish, monitor and control projects. Engage and communicate with stakeholders as agreed in the communications plan

·        Ensure risks/ issues/ assumptions and dependencies are captured, monitored and controlled throughout the life of a project, reporting any exceptions in a timely manner

·        Close projects and handover assets to relevant stakeholders in an organised and efficient manner

·        Ensure all internal systems are kept updated with the current status of the project

·        Ensure project milestones and documentation is signed off by the Customer

·        Produce monthly highlight and cost analysis reports and share these with customers and internally

·        Produce project plans and logs for projects and ensure these are kept up to date and shared        with the customer and internally (as required)

(a)          Provide project support as required and instructed by the Head of PMO
·        Organise, attend and minute project meetings

·        Produce project documentation

·        Update project logs as required by the Project Manager

·        Work with the PM in the identification of issues and risks and produce appropriate plans to resolve/mitigate

·        Update internal systems; resource bookings, project status, etc

·        Provide billing instructions once signed off by PM

(b)          Provide back up for the PMO Officer in busy periods or during absence

(c)          Assist with PMO reporting as required and ensure accuracy of PMO data

  • Work with Customer and Tikit Project Manager to assess training needs for projects and agree learning aims
  • Prepare bespoke training courses and tutor notes depending on customer’s expectations and project objectives
  • Prepare training materials by creating new or adapting existing ones
  • Deliver training services such as demonstrations of products, 121, group and floor walking
  • Develop new e-learning programmes or adapting existing ones
  • Contribute to developing training services to add to Tikit’s commercial existing services product suite

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management/PMO Support role
  • Supplier side Project Management experience preferred
  • Knowledge/ Experience of Project Management Office functions, Technical environments and Software Development would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Legal sector Technologies would be beneficial
  • Flexible and willing to help in other areas of the business if required
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Experienced in using Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint (essential) and Project (beneficial)
